The Spinlord Wyvern pimples have exactly the same dimensions as the Waran's. That is why they are very short, have a conical shape and grooved, beak-shaped tips.
However, the Wyvern's rubber compound is quite different. It has more grip than the Waran's rubber compound, and is also softer and much slower. We can give you the clue that we use the rubber compound of the Strahlkraft this rubber.
The Wyvern's sponge is the same expensive high-tech sponge that was recently developed for the Ozelot rubber. That means the sponge is semi-hard, very fast and includes a strong built-in quick stick effect with no "factory setting". By the way, this sponge is also the only reason why the Wyvern is so expensive. But without this sponge, the Wyvern would not be a good rubber and would be meaningless.
The result of this combination is a rubber whose speed is generated almost exclusively by the sponge. This type of rubber has the main advantage that it can absorb speed very well when playing passive shots.
Overall, the Wyvern is slightly faster than the Waran, but slower than the Waran II. Please note that the speed difference between 1.5 and 2.0 mm is larger than usual.
The Wyvern can create more spin and is more versatile to play than any other short spiked rubber. The control values are very high, and it is also a very reliable and easy to master rubber. For playing powerful shots the Wyvern is not as good as the Waran, but for everything else it is better without being totally different.
The Wyvern has been developed for and with a new generation of professional players, who use a short rubber with spikes for both attack and defense. These players can use the Wyvern to slash like a long rubber band with pimples, but can also play powerful counterattacks with it when necessary.
The Wyvern has 2 drawbacks: It is a little heavier than most short spiked rubbers (the weight of this rubber is similar to the weight of the Waran II). And although the quality of the Wyvern is good, it is no better in quality than our cheaper erasers (the pimples are very durable, but the sponge can tear quite easily when the eraser is removed from the blade).
