The short pimples rubber Dr. Neubauer Explosion Extreme has a very good compromise between control, attack possibilities and disruptive effect. However, it is decisively faster thanks to an innovative new sponge that allows the player to get more speed off the ball while counter-attacking and hitting.
Additionally, the disruptive effect was further enhanced when blocking and hitting, resulting in even lower rebounding and a noticeably higher number of misses from your opponent.
Control is still at a high level, ensuring that all classic short-pipe techniques can be performed with ease.
The best compromise between control and disruptive effect is obtained with a thinner sponge (1.3/1.5/1.8 mm). The thicker sponge versions make for a faster rubber, but with slightly less disruptive spin.
The rubber comes with a layer of glue. Put an additional thin layer of water-based table tennis glue on the sponge and a normal layer of water-based glue on the blade. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes.
