The Tanuki is much more elastic and catapults stronger than the rubbers produced in China. The degree of hardness of the sponge is of 43 degrees according to the manufacturer, but the sponge is as soft as the Chinese sponges with a hardness of 38. The upper rubber is medium hard. Its high quality construction and durability make Tanuki a first class absolute. The Spinlord Tanuki is a rubber for dynamic offensive play with emphasis on variable topspins with longer arm movements. But also all the other styles are easily successful, it is in general much more variable than the Chinese rubbers.
