The Xiom Jekyll & Hyde C52.5 rubber is the softest in the Jekyll & Hyde series. Its 52.5° sponge has a sticky surface that provides great spin for a modern topspin game with maximum spin.

The Xiom Jekyll & Hyde "C" range is the first dual-tension rubber with an X-factor that doesn't require an optimizer boost; it's already built in. This was only possible thanks to artificial intelligence. Jekyll & Hyde  has a thicker top layer, shorter pimples, and a more compact pimple arrangement.

The top layer is coated with optimized stickiness and minimal spacing, along with optimized integration between the top layer and the sponge, allowing for a clearer, more intuitive feel when striking the ball.

Inside the Epsilon sponge, our new sponge engineering technology, the bubbles are smaller and more evenly distributed. The low-pixel geometry increases the Epsilon sponge's energy transfer, so even when hitting long shots, the Epsilon sponge can deliver power more directly to the ball.

Hugo Calderano's choice for both his forehand and backhand, Jekyll & Hyde C55.0, is the result of years of AI-assisted experimentation, which led to the development of the Epsilon sponge.

- AI X-FACTOR:

Jekyll & Hyde C is the first dual-tension rubber to feature revolutionary X-Factor technology. This innovative rubber eliminates the need for external reinforcements, offering built-in dual tension for superior performance.

- More control near the net:

The densely arranged pimples reduce voids within the top layer, allowing players to feel the impact of the Epsilon sponge more intuitively. The optimized structure of the top layer intertwined with the sponge allows for more precise control at close range from the net. - More power from a distance:

The newly developed Epsilon sponge contains tiny bubbles, structurally arranged to create synergy with the short pimples and minimize energy loss. This special combination produces powerful shots even from far away from the table, something that was never possible with previous technologies.

Sponge hardness: 52.5 degrees.

Xiom Jekyll & Hyde Hyde C52.5 - the perfect forehand hybrid rubber

I've been using C55 on my FH for almost a year on my forehand, but could not help but feel that C55 was a bit too hard and thus somewhat unforgiving, especially when I'm under pressure in a real competitive match. So I was very excited to test C52.5 on my forehand and it seems to be a perfect forehand rubber for me. Same mildly tacky and very grippy topsheet as on C55, but the softer sponge makes the rubber much more dynamic and safer to play and therefore I am no longer afraid to hit the ball hard even under pressure. Definitely prefer this rubber over Dignics 09C.
